About the event

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the demands of modern life? Do you struggle with burnout, mental exhaustion and strong emotions like stress and anxiety? If so, we invite you to join our upcoming Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program.

MBSR was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the 1970s at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Kabat-Zinn saw that many patients with chronic pain were not finding relief through traditional medical treatments and sought to develop a new approach to healing. Drawing on his own meditation practice and research in psychology and neuroscience, Kabat-Zinn created MBSR as a way to help patients cope with stress, pain, and illness.

Today, MBSR is a well-established and evidence-based program that has helped thousands of people around the world reduce stress, improve their mental and physical health, and find greater peace and balance in their lives.

"You come away from the class a new, happier being each week; you realize you have a support and that it's natural and right to do this; you make changes without even realizing, and when you realize, it's magical."

Our 8-week MBSR course will help you cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and find inner peace and balance; transforming your way of life. Through a combination of guided meditations, body awareness practices, and group discussions, you'll learn how to:

  • Develop lifelong skills of attentional flexibility and self-observation
  • Gain greater clarity of your states of mind and body
  • Change your relationship with stress and be less reactive in stressful situations
  • Enhance your relationships through the cultivation of social awareness, patience, and compassion
  • Live a more balanced lifestyle and experience more calm and peace
  • Develop a more compassionate response to cope effectively with unpleasant thoughts and emotions
  • Improve your overall well-being and quality of life

Our experienced and compassionate teacher, Erin Lee, will guide you through each step of the program, providing you with the tools and support you need to develop your mindfulness and meditation practices. By the end of the program, you'll have a solid foundation in mindfulness and stress reduction techniques that you can continue to use in your daily life.
