Since August 2018, The Hermitage has been my place of refuge to cultivate mindfulness through group meditation and one to one session under the tutelage of Dhammakamo (aka DK). I’m now able to sit for at least an hour daily from someone who was too busy to spend five minutes and thinks that it is a waste of time to sit and do nothing. I am now reaping great benefits from my practice.
As a executive coach and facilitator in the last 12 years, I have done a lot of work on my own personal transformation. Yet I have been able to unravel deeper insights into areas that I already had breakthroughs. In one of my session, I was deeply touched by a whole new experience of gratitude, unconditional love, compassion like never before. I have become more effective at affecting transformation for my own clients.
I believe DK has been able to create this level of impact through his approach that is about the essence and not about the form. It is relatable to modern needs, yet deeply rooted in ancient wisdom / integrity. He also has the ability to move and inspire people because of his willingness to be vulnerable and authentic. This can only be from someone who has experienced and practiced what he teaches. For a young person that he is, he brings a great balance of heart, knowledge and wisdom to his work! That’s not easy to do ! So come and check it out for yourself.
I had a private 1-to-1 meditation session with DK with regards to my difficulties in handing rough emotions.
DK was very patient as he guided me through the whole meditation process in a professional manner and a way which I, as an amateur, can easily understand. His guided meditation has enabled me to fully be able to understand my own emotions better and finding out the cause of them.
Last but not least, the energy healing he performed towards the end of the meditation really made a difference in balancing the energies in my body which felt as if a heavy load has been lifted off my chest after the session!
It has truly been a rewarding and enriching session with DK!
Thank you for holding space so beautifully for our full moon prayer. I enjoyed the session so much!
The Hermitage truly is an oasis of peace and earnest prayer. It is a reflection of the good people who take care of the space and fill it with purposeful activities. So thank you for the work that you do and continue to do for our community. I'm looking forward to many more meaningful, spirit-filled evenings at The Hermitage.
I've been searching for a meditation community like this for so long.
Thank you for answering my prayers.

First of all, thanks for having me. You've created a beautiful environment and I could feel the peace and joy from the moment I entered the room. The puja was masterfully conducted and while not being familiar with the mantras or the rituals (at all), I felt it easy to follow along and participate.
The meditation was just powerful. I was rocking, head bopping and I felt the kundalini rising further and further. The Buddha appeared so many times during the meditation as well as the Hindu deities, which made it all the more powerful.
